Some big names have started to fall into place for the upcoming Trentino Grand Prix - a special one since it will incorporate a Hard Enduro race also known as "The Wall”. And today, ABC Communication has learned of the return of 2016 Junior World Champion, Giacomo REDONDI (I - Honda).
After having trouble finding a factory team at the end of the 2017 season, Giacomo REDONDI (I) decided to head to the west coast of America in 2018, where he has been participating in WORCS with the KTM USA team. He has also made the occasional trip back to Italy to ride in his home country and participate in some of the Italian Championship with Honda RedMoto.
The current leader in the WORCS, "RED" will return to the FIM Maxxis Enduro World Championship for the Trentino GP in Pietramurata. He will also be present on the 1st and 2nd of September at Edolo for the Acerbis Grand Prix of Italy, the 6th round of the season.
The rider from Lombardy will be onboard a CRF450 Honda RedMoto official team bike, and will therefore be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Alex SALVINI (I - Husqvarna), Eero REMES (SF - TM) and Loïc LARRIEU (F - Yamaha) in the Enduro 2 class.
In addition to REDONDI, Gianluca MARTINI (I) also confirmed his presence at "The Wall”, riding a Beta 250RR. The rider of MC Sebino will surely also not be able to miss the Grand Prix of his Moto Club in Edolo...
In a season where the Italian riders are shining bright with Alex SALVINI (Husqvarna), Matteo CAVALLO (Beta Boano) and Andrea VERONA (TM) all leading their categories, the addition of REDONDI and MARTINI should add a little more volume to the noise level of the “tifosi” on June 29th and 30th in Pietramurata, where we’ll see the first Hard Enduro style race in EnduroGP!
