Three years after leaving Honda RedMoto, Alex SALVINI (I) is back in red for 2019 with a brand new private team...
The transfer market is in full swing, and after the recent announcements about Christophe CHARLIER (F) and Davide SORECA (I) joining Honda, we have just learned that Alex SALVINI will also ride a Honda RedMoto CRF 450 RX in the Enduro 2 category.
But the unlucky hero of the 2018 season, who narrowly lost out on two titles due to mechanical issues, will not join CHARLIER and Thomas OLDRATI (I) in the official Honda RedMoto team since he will be part of his own private team: the S2 Motorsport Sembenini Honda RedMoto team.
With this arrangement he will still benefit from mechanical help and receive backing from the official team during the season.
The Italian has already proven his penchant for red since he won his first and only World Champion title in E2 in 2013 with a CRF 450. He backed this up with two Vice-Champion finishes in 2014 and 2015!
SALVINI announced his return to Honda on January 1st on his Instagram account.
It's another big statement from Honda RedMoto, securing one of the most impressive protagonists of last season, and positioning itself as one of the favourites for the E2 title with CHARLIER, SORECA, and now SALVINI. This is also proof of the growing involvement of the Japanese brand in EnduroGP!
