REIS & FLOCKHART Taking Charge?

The first back-to-back rounds for the Champion Lubricants Enduro Open World Cup will see whether the three classes will establish clear favourites. But things could still change this weekend during the third round of the season which will take place in Santiago de Compostela...

Starting with the Open 2-Stroke class… while Gonçalo REIS (P - Gas Gas) has taken the title lead after an unstoppable double win in front of his home crowd, and the troubles of the previous leader Richard TUCKER (GB - Sherco), everything could still change again this weekend ... with rain expected until Saturday, it will be interesting to see if TUCKER can turn the tide.
Watch out for Joao LOURENCO (P - Beta), who was twice second in Valpaços, and who will want, in addition to confirming his place on the podium, to get closer to the leading duo.
Jorge PARADELO RODRIGUEZ (E - Gas Gas), Benet GOMEZ (E - Gas Gas) and Jose Antonio MARTIN (E - Sherco) will also be giving their all, pushed on by all the Spanish fans.

Who Can Control KNIGHTER ?

In Open 4-Stroke, Fraser FLOCKHART (GB - Yamaha) took the lead by signing off two great second places in Portugal, but the standout performer of the Portuguese GP was another Brit - Tom ELLWOOD (Kawasaki)! The Kawasaki rider showed great skill and will probably aim for another double to get closer to the Yamaha rider.
FLOCKHART must also contain the attacks of Rodrigo BELCHIOR (P - KTM), Alexander GEHLERT (D - KTM), Rene SCHILLING (D - Husqvarna) and Abel CARBALLES VIDAL (E - Husqvarna).
Also note the presence of Belgian Jilani CAMBRE (Husqvarna) who will replace his compatriot Mathias VAN HOOF (Beta), who is forced to participate in the Belgian Championship this weekend despite excellent performances in Portugal...

Finally, in Open Senior, David KNIGHT (GB - TM) will seek to increase his points advantage to win the World Cup as soon as possible. But the giant from the Isle of Man is not yet immune to mechanical problems or mistakes...
Behind KNIGHTER, Andrea BELOTTI (I - KTM) and Fernando FERREIRA (P - Sherco) will continue their duel for the runner-up spot. They could also be joined by Patrik ANDERSSON (S - Yamaha) and Enrique VEGA GONZALEZ (E - KTM).
For their part, local riders Marcos RODRIGUEZ CARBALLEIRA (KTM), Efren ARCE IGLESIAS (KTM), Jose Antonio FERNANDEZ DABLANCA (Husqvarna), Salvador LATAS (Sherco), Marcos RODRIGUEZ LOPEZ (KTM) and Carlos Giovanni PEREZ (KTM) should have the public on their side.
Also noteworthy are the returns of Pierre HOURDIN (F - Husqvarna), Darren KIFF (GB - KTM) and Matthias RENKEN (D - Husqvarna).

The Champion Lubricants Enduro Open World Cup is gearing up for its second race weekend in a row and these three categories will bring Enduro fans in Santiago de Compostela even more action on the three special tests put together by the Motoclub Movete Na Moto, it will be an unmissable weekend across all classes of the World Enduro Championship…
